Significant weightloss – and natural ageing processes – leads to skin excess around the arms, a very unsightly deformity. The skin flap looks like a wing, the skin itself appears wrinkly and these wrinkles can cover areas as far up as the axilla.
The removal of skin and often fat leaves a longitudinal scar all along the upper arm. We place the incision in the least visible part the circumference. The closure is with resorbable stitches. An exact equilibration of the resulting tension leads to the smallest possible scar. You will spend one night under our care. Recovery and healing take about two weeks. Strenuous activities should be avoided.
A well rounded and firm upper arm is the desired result.
