Your chin is essential to the overall appearance of your face. Its predominance in creating a masculine appearance is obvious, but it is just as important to the feminine face.
There are three common options for chin augmentation:
Filler injection uses Hyaluronic Acid to increase the size of the chin. The treatment is fast and effective. The effect is temporary however. Risks are minimal, although there will be some swelling initially.
Chin implants are amongst others solid silicone implants. An incision is made inside the mouth and the implant is placed snugly in front of the bone. There will be some bruising and swelling that will go down over time. Risks are numbness around the chin, shifting of the implant and infection.
Bone or soft tissue modifications are the most invasive ways. Repositioning the soft tissue of the chin has become an interesting alternative to cutting bone, which has a longer downtime.
