Rosacea is a chronic disorder primarily of the facial skin, often characterized by flare-ups and remissions. While there appear to be a number of triggers and theories, the underlying cause or causes of Rosacea has not been scientifically proven.

Rosacea is characterized by flushing, persistent redness resembling sunburn, red solid bumps and pimples and visible blood vessels.

Because the signs and symptoms of Rosacea vary from one patient to another, treatment must be specifically tailored and may include various oral and topical medications, and in certain cases laser therapy. Laser therapy for the treatment of Rosacea requires very specific equipment criteria to treat the condition at the correct depth and intensity without damaging the skin and surrounding tissue.
